Mari and I got away for a special weekend on Lanai. The Manele Bay Resort was wonderful; the grounds spectacular; the ambiance calm and glamorous at the same time. The food was great too, but frankly, you're better off eating in Lanai City - especially at Henry Clay's at the Hotel Lanai (try the Blue Ginger for breakfast!) Next trip, we'll take the kids and stay at Koele Lodge!

And yet another of the murals that adorn the lobby areas One of the many waterfalls on the grounds of Manele Bay Resort - this one was just outside our room
There were even murals on the ceilings of the outdoor seating areas Another waterfall among all the flora
A nice, relaxing garden complete with gazebo There was lots of greenery all around the grounds
Our first view of Manele Bay as we toured the grounds (with a glass of wine, of course!) One of several koi ponds on the grounds of Manele Bay Resort

Still another waterfall and koi pond to relax by There were also many colorful flowers throughout the grounds
What a tranquil place! Here's one of the walla's tending to the gardens around the gazebo
Another peaceful lanai by one of the ponds It looks as if I could be lost in a tropical forest instead of at a luxury resort!
Don't worry, be happy! Calmness and tranquility are everywhere here
Another of the lanais and ponds Well, how did I get to here?
Ah, sunset from our lanai Ah, the sun has set too far around the corner to see
